Use of the Cyber Guardian application (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is subject to this Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.

Cyber Guardian is a privacy-first application.
1. Personal Data
We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our own servers.
- Email Addresses: Any email address you enter is stored locally on your device for your convenience to check breach status. It is used solely to query the public Have I Been Pwned API.
- Phishing Scan Data: Text and URLs analyzed by the Phishing Scanner are processed locally on your device using on-device AI models. This data leaves your device only if you explicitly choose to verify a URL (which opens it in your browser).
2. Third-Party Services
- Have I Been Pwned (HIBP): The app queries the HIBP API to check if your email has appeared in data breaches. Please refer to HIBP’s Privacy Policy for more information.
- Platform Services: The app may use native platform services (Android/iOS) for features like Local Notifications.
Permissions
The app may request the following permissions:
- Notifications: To remind you to check back for security tips or alerts.
- Internet Access: Required to connect to the HIBP API and fetch privacy policy updates.
Data Security
All sensitivity preferences and user inputs are stored using your device’s secure local storage mechanisms. We do not maintain a central database of user information.
Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. As our app does not collect personal data, it is safe for use by all ages, but we encourage parental guidance for online safety tools.
